Terms of use

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms apply when you use this site. By signing in, you agree to them. The league's rulebook applies on top of them.

1. Who runs the site

The Onward Snake League (OSA) is a free community esports league for the VR game Onward. It is run by OSA league staff, a team of volunteers based in the United Kingdom.

2. Who can use it

  • Anyone can read the site without an account.
  • To sign in you need a Discord account, and you must be at least 13 (rulebook 2.3).
  • One person, one account (rulebook 2.1). Alternate accounts are not allowed.
  • Keep your Discord account secure. What happens on your OSA account is your responsibility.

3. Your content

You can upload or write content: your photo, team logos and banners, your bio, notes, ticket descriptions and evidence.

  • Only upload content you made or have the right to use.
  • No hateful, sexual, violent, illegal or impersonating content, and no one else's personal data.
  • You keep ownership of your content. You give the league permission to show it on this site, in the league Discord server and in league broadcasts, for as long as it is on the site.
  • Staff can edit or remove content that breaks these terms or the rulebook.

4. Conduct and the rulebook

Play fair and treat other players, casters and staff with respect. The rulebook sets out the rules for teams, matches, conduct and penalties. Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's security, and don't scrape it or use bots on it.

5. Staff decisions and penalties

Staff run matches, check identities, handle tickets and give penalties under the rulebook. Penalties can include warnings, point deductions, suspensions and bans. Public penalties appear on your profile and in the league Discord. You can appeal a decision as the rulebook describes (see Appeals).

6. Predictions, the Oracle and MVP votes

Oracle predictions and MVP votes are free and just for fun. There is no money involved: no entry fee, no betting and no cash value. There are no prizes unless the league announces one.

7. No warranty

The site is run by volunteers and provided “as is”. We try to keep it working and correct, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure.

8. Liability

As far as the law allows, OSA league staff are not liable for any loss or damage from using the site or the league. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Not affiliated

OSA is an independent community league. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the developer or publisher of Onward, by Meta, or by Discord. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile settings. The privacy policy explains what is deleted and what stays in league records. Staff can suspend or ban accounts that break these terms or the rulebook.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your local law gives you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top of this page and announce important changes in the league Discord server. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

13. Contact

Open a ticket or DM league staff in the league Discord server.
